Educación ambiental a través del aprendizaje vivencial en el Colegio Los Manglares (Santa Marta, Colombia)

| dc.description.abstract | La presente pasantía se desarrolló en el Colegio Los Manglares de Santa Marta con el objetivo de apoyar procesos de educación ambiental mediante actividades teóricas y prácticas dirigidas a estudiantes de diferentes niveles educativos. Se diseñaron e implementaron charlas y talleres sobre conservación de tortugas marinas, se estableció una huerta escolar utilizando materiales reutilizados, se realizaron salidas pedagógicas a ecosistemas estratégicos de la región y se elaboró un mapa de ecosistemas y servicios ecosistémicos del sector de playa Salguero mediante herramientas SIG. Las actividades permitieron fortalecer conocimientos sobre biodiversidad, conservación y sostenibilidad, promoviendo el aprendizaje experiencial y la apropiación del territorio. Asimismo, se evidenció la importancia de las estrategias prácticas y del trabajo articulado con instituciones y comunidades para complementar los procesos de educación ambiental. Los resultados obtenidos contribuyeron al fortalecimiento de las acciones pedagógicas desarrolladas por la institución educativa y al reconocimiento de los ecosistemas costeros como espacios clave para la formación ambiental. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This internship was carried out at Los Manglares School in Santa Marta, Colombia, with the aim of supporting environmental education processes through theoretical and practical activities for students at different educational levels. Activities included workshops and talks on sea turtle conservation, the establishment of a school garden using recycled materials, educational field trips to strategic regional ecosystems, and the development of a GIS-based map of ecosystems and ecosystem services in Playa Salguero. These activities strengthened knowledge related to biodiversity, conservation, and sustainability while promoting experiential learning and territorial awareness. The internship also highlighted the importance of practical educational strategies and collaboration with institutions and local communities to enhance environmental education processes. The results contributed to the strengthening of the school's environmental education initiatives and to the recognition of coastal ecosystems as valuable spaces for environmental learning. | |
