Entusiasta del estudio de las moléculas obtenidas a partir los de seres vivos y su actividad biológica desde distintas perspectivas, como antioxidantes en alimentos, aplicaciones en agricultura y en fitocosmética. En particular, le intriga la complejidad y funcionamiento de los metabolitos presentes en las macroalgas; en este campo ha trabajado durante varios años desarrollando nuevos métodos para la obtención de compuestos bioactivos donde ha aportado al conocimiento de las especies que hacen parte de la biodiversidad Colombiana. Enthusiast of the study of the molecules obtained from living beings and their biological activity from different perspectives such as antioxidants in food, applications in agriculture, and phytocosmetics. In particular, she is intrigued by the complexity and functioning of the metabolites present in macroalgae; In this field, she has worked for several years developing new methods to obtain bioactive compounds where she has contributed to the knowledge of the species that are part of the Colombian biodiversity. |
