Doctor en Química de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, con post-doc en el EPFL y Univalle antes de vincularse a la UJTL. Ph.D. in Chemistry from the National University of Colombia, with post-doctoral studies at EPFL and Univalle before joining the UJTL. I obtained my PhD in chemistry at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Afterwards, i worked as a postdoc on a joint project of EPFL/Univalle and later with the Imperial College - London, concerning the automatization of NMR analysis and its application to metabolomics. I am now a professor at Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano. My earlier background was on quantum chemistry. My main research interests concern the mathematization of fundamental chemical models developed in the nineteenth century, but i regularly jump into any fun project that involves mathematical modeling and computer simulation.
