Abstract
Summary in foreign language
Stromal stem cells identified in the menstrual blood of a woman are emerging more and more as a possible candidate for the treatment of different medical processes thanks to their plastic, self-regenerating and multipotent qualities that lead her to stand out from other stem cells. This discovery, unknown to many, is accepted as the fundamental basis of the following project to propose a different perspective of the menstrual cycle and especially of menstruation, since the meanings and social representations that this process faces still make it a phenomenon inscribed within the taboo and invisibilization. The setting of this potential characteristic of menstrual fluids within the framework of design, opens the doors not only to the woman to reappropriate her cycle through the conscious collection of her blood but also to give her a new sustainable and responsible treatment with the environment that changes traditional habits of use with respect to it, and can in this way convert the "rule" into a sustainable menstruation.
