This article focuses on evaluating the prospects and potential that Colombia must achieve a complete transition to electric vehicles, with the goal of achieving 100% penetration of this type of automobile by 2050. To address this challenge, four potential scenarios are proposed that are based on different approaches and strategies. In these scenarios, various variables are considered that will play a fundamental role in the transformation of the Colombian vehicle fleet, such as government incentives aimed at promoting the adoption of electric vehicles, the evolution of battery prices, changes in acquisition costs of electric vehicles, the expansion of the charging station network and other elements relevant to the analysis. This comprehensive assessment seeks to provide a clear view of the possibilities and challenges facing Colombia on its path towards the electrification of transport and offers a stage for informed decision-making in the formulation of strategies that drive the adoption of electric vehicles in the country. with the purpose of achieving the goal described in the article, a simulation modeling approach was employed. Through this process, a definitive model was obtained that allows visually representing the progress of different scenarios over the years. This graphical representation provides a clear understanding of which scenarios meet the established parameters to achieve the previously set goal, reaching values close to 100% for electric vehicles in Colombia by 2050 and significantly reducing CO2 emissions from the transportation sector in Colombia by 27% compared to 2023. Considering that the increase in vehicles by 2050 will be much higher than in the initial period, this marks the beginning of a period of decline in pollution in the country.spa
