| dc.description.abstract | El presente informe describe el desarrollo de la práctica profesional realizada en LM Instruments S.A., empresa colombiana dedicada a la importación y comercialización de dispositivos médicos especializados de alto valor. La experiencia se desarrolló en un entorno empresarial propio del sector de tecnología médica, caracterizado por innovación constante, regulación sanitaria estricta y un modelo de negocio B2B enfocado en clínicas y hospitales de alta complejidad, donde la calidad y el soporte técnico son factores clave (Kotler & Keller, 2022; Porter, 2008). Las actividades desarrolladas incluyeron apoyo en gestión de bases de datos, organización de eventos médicos, elaboración de informes comerciales y coordinación logística de materiales, funciones asociadas a la eficiencia operativa y la especialización organizacional (Robbins & Coulter, 2022). Asimismo, se evidenció la relevancia del sector salud en el contexto económico y social, impulsado por el envejecimiento poblacional, el aumento de enfermedades crónicas y la incorporación de tecnologías digitales (OMS, 2021; Christopher, 2016). La práctica permitió integrar conocimientos académicos con la realidad empresarial, fortaleciendo habilidades analíticas, comunicativas y de responsabilidad profesional. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This report describes the development of the professional internship carried out at LM Instruments S.A., a Colombian company dedicated to the importation and commercialization of high-value specialized medical devices. The internship took place in a business environment typical of the medical technology sector, characterized by continuous innovation, strict health regulations, and a B2B model focused on high-complexity clinics and hospitals, where quality and technical support are key factors (Kotler & Keller, 2022; Porter, 2008). The activities performed included support in database management, organization of medical events, preparation of commercial reports, and logistical coordination of promotional materials, tasks associated with operational efficiency and organizational specialization (Robbins & Coulter, 2022). The experience also highlighted the relevance of the healthcare sector in the economic and social context, driven by population aging, the rise of chronic diseases, and the incorporation of digital technologies (WHO, 2021; Christopher, 2016). The internship allowed the integration of academic knowledge with real business dynamics, strengthening analytical, communication, and professional responsibility skills. | |
