| dc.description.abstract | El crecimiento de Bogotá es proporcional al deterioro, o a la desaparición de zonas verdes en la ciudad, creciendo un 2.5% anualmente a nivel de población, por ende cada vez son menos los lugares para cultivar en la ciudad, y el poco espacio que tenemos se encuentra destinado a la construcción; Lo que ha llevado a muchos pobladores urbanos de distintas ciudades y regiones del país a implementar huertos en los patios, balcones o terrazas de sus viviendas con el fin de tener alternativas alimenticias. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior la sociedad empezó a adquirir una cultura en donde cultivar en la vivienda se ha vuelto muy atractivo ya sea por consumir alimentos frescos, libres de químicos o por lo práctico o a la mano que se obtienen sus hortalizas, plantas aromáticas y ornamentales. | spa |

As a result, there are fewer places to cultivate within the city, and the limited space available is often allocated to construction. This situation has led many urban dwellers from various cities and regions of the country to implement gardens in their courtyards, balconies, or terraces in order to have alternative food sources. Given this context, society has developed a culture where home cultivation has become very attractive, whether for consuming fresh, chemical-free foods or for the convenience of having vegetables, aromatic plants, and ornamental plants readily available. | |
