| dc.description.abstract | Tradicionalmente los estudios realizados sobre Moringa oleifera se han enfocado en el uso de las propiedades fitoquímicas del material vegetal para el tratamiento de diversas enfermedades humanas. No obstante, considerando su clasificación como “Árbol milagroso”, se ha generado la necesidad de investigar otros conocimientos etnobotánicos asociados a la especie. El presente trabajo es una revisión bibliográfica que busca motivar la bioprospección de M. oleifera para su aplicación orientada al manejo fitosanitario de plagas agrícolas como biocontrolador, así como examinar otros usos de sus propiedades alelopáticas, bajo las cuales se comporta como un biofertilizante, adicionalmente se examinan distintas metodologías para la evaluación de su potencial como bioinsumo. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | Traditionally, studies on Moringa oleifera have focused on the use of the plant material's phytochemical properties for treating various human diseases. However, given its classification as a "miracle tree," there is a growing need to investigate other ethnobotanical knowledge associated with the species. This work is a literature review that aims to encourage the bioprospecting of M. oleifera for its application in the phytosanitary management of agricultural pests as a biocontrol agent, as well as to examine other uses of its allelopathic properties, under which it behaves as a biofertilizer. Additionally, different methodologies for evaluating its potential as a bio-input are examined. | |
