Attached you will find a manuscript “A Comparison of Mortality-related Risk Factors of COVID-19, SARS, and MERS: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis”, which we are submitting for consideration as an original research paper in Journal of Infection. Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a pandemic. Few case-control or cohort studies have addressed COVID-19 mortality. Several commonalities among the pathogenicity, clinical features and transmissibility of COVID-19, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) have been identified. To explicate the clinical, laboratory and image features of COVID-19, we performed a systematic review with meta-analysis, using five databases to compare the predictors of death for COVID-19, SARS, and MERS patients. We ran a random-effects model meta-analysis to calculate odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CI).
