dc.description.abstract | La búsqueda de fuentes alternativas de energía renovable y sostenible ha aumentado en todo el mundo, en respuesta al agotamiento de las fuentes de energía fósiles, el interés por el crecimiento económico y los altos niveles de contaminación asociados a su uso. El gas natural, por su menor costo de producción, sus menores niveles de contaminación y la diversidad de sus usos, representa una alternativa energética para la transición de los combustibles fósiles a otras fuentes de energía no convencionales. Desde los años noventa, Colombia ha experimentado el consumo masivo de gas natural en usos que van desde el consumo residencial hasta la producción de electricidad a través de centrales térmicas, lo que implica el desarrollo de infraestructura para la producción y el transporte. Sin embargo, el desarrollo de las reservas de gas natural no se ha correspondido con el aumento de las capacidades de producción y transporte mencionadas, acompañado de un crecimiento en el tiempo de la demanda, lo que expone al país a la escasez, generando efectos negativos en el desarrollo económico y el bienestar social Ante esta situación, el gobierno nacional ha proyectado el desarrollo de una serie de políticas que mitiguen los riesgos, a través de la implementación de proyectos de exploración de reservas, infraestructura de producción y transporte. Esta investigación propone una novedosa forma de estudiar el abastecimiento de gas natural, combinando enfoques de gestión de la cadena de suministro, modelización con dinámica de sistemas y gestión dinámica del desempeño, que permite evaluar el comportamiento de la cadena de suministro de gas natural de manera que se integren los actores involucrados en la atención de la demanda, evaluando las alternativas de políticas públicas definidas por el gobierno nacional, que puedan evitar las situaciones de escasez y el desarrollo de mercados potenciales. | spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | The search for alternative sources of renewable and sustainable energy has increased worldwide, in response to the depletion of fossil energy sources, interest in economic growth and the high levels of pollution associated with its use. Natural gas, due to its lower production cost, lower levels of pollution and diversity of uses, represents an energy alternative for the transition from fossil fuels towards other unconventional energy sources. Colombia since the nineties has experienced the mass consumption of natural gas in uses ranging from residential consumption to the production of electricity through thermal plants, involving the development of infrastructure for production and transportation. However, the development of natural gas reserves has not corresponded to the increase in the production and transport capacities mentioned, accompanied by a growth in the time of demand, which exposes the country to shortages, generating negative effects on economic development and social welfare Given this situation, the national government has projected the development of a series of policies that mitigate risks, through the implementation of reserve exploration projects, production infrastructure, and transportation. This research proposes a novel way to study the supply of natural gas, combining approaches to supply chain management, modeling with system dynamics and dynamic performance management, which allows to evaluate the behavior of the supply chain of natural gas so that the stakeholders involved in the attention of the demand are integrated, evaluating the public policy alternatives defined by the national government, which may avoid shortages and the development of potential markets of this energy resource | spa |
