Abstract
EL trabajo de mercancías peligrosas requiere que las personas encargadas de esta labor tengan conocimiento de su manejo, para reducir los riesgos que implican una mala manipulación. Esta actividad es tan importante que es considerada como una labor nivel 5, de máximo riesgo, dentro del rango establecido por el Ministerio de Trabajo para los riesgos laborales (Decreto - Ley 1294, 1994). Es por esto, que con esta cartilla se pretende facilitar el aprendizaje de los conceptos generales de las mercancías peligrosas y contribuir a mitigar la taza de accidentalidad.

Dangerous goods work requires that the people in charge of this work have knowledge of their handling, to reduce the risks involved in mishandling. This activity is so important that it is considered as level 5 work, of maximum risk, within the range established by the Ministry of Labor for occupational risks (Decree - Law 1294, 1994). For this reason, this booklet is intended to facilitate the learning of the general concepts of dangerous goods and contribute to mitigating the rate of accidents.
