This thesis presents a theoretical reflection around the airport, approached from the epistemology of the technique to establish in it, the importance of the technique in the production, planning, physical configuration and building development of a type of architecture where the aircraft are the subjects in whom the responsibility falls to carry out the work that takes place in its interior and, therefore, have the conditions and characteristics that determine both the physical and functional configuration existing at airports.
In the same sense, aircraft are considered, rather than utensils, technical beings that exist and as such, they have conditions that determine the circumstances around their existence, their genesis and their concretization. This allows an approximation to the notion of genesis and spatial evolution of a type of architecture that, due to the characteristics of the activity it hosts in its interior and the characteristics of the subjects involved, must be able to permanently adapt its conditions to new requirements characterized by the existing technical reality both in the nature of the subjects and in the conditions of the activity.
Consequently, the aim is to establish the real meaning and significance of the airport, a place in which the technique has great importance when it is present both in the aircraft and in the tasks that they perform inside. A place where the technique establishes the requirements that determine its physical characteristics along with the operational conditions.
