Abstract
En el artículo se analiza la importancia de la libre elección de
Entidad Promotora de Salud, eps e Instituciones Prestadoras
de Servicios, ips, que realizan los usuarios del régimen
contributivo en Bogotá, para la eficiencia del Sistema General
de Seguridad Social en Salud y la calidad de los servicios de
salud. Igualmente, se presentan los resultados de encuestas
y entrevistas que evidencian que, en general, los usuarios del
sistema ejercen la libre elección con escasa información.
Summary in foreign language
This article discusses free choice of Health Promotion
Entities, eps, and Health Providing Institutions, ips,
in the users of the contributive regime in Bogota, and
its importance for the efficiency of the General System
of Social Security in Health and the quality of health
services. Also, the results of surveys and interviews are
presented to show that, in general, exercise of the free
election is done with little information.
